ORDERING:

Do you take custom orders?
Unfortunately we are not currently taking custom orders.

Do you have discounts or promo codes that I can use for my order?
We do! Sign up for our newsletter (and follow us on Instagram and Tiktok ) to be the first to get notified about exclusive sales, giveaways, our latest launches, news and more! 

How do I apply a promo code?
Promo codes can be applied to your order at checkout. There is a space to enter the code just above the subtotal. Codes do not always apply to discounted items. Promo codes have expiration dates. You can only use one promotion code at a time.

When will you be restocking sold out products?
Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to receive announcements about restocks and new products! We will be restocking some styles, but once limited edition styles sell out, they're gone forever!

Can I change or cancel my order?
In an effort to ship out your products efficiently, we immediately begin processing your order as soon as it is placed. Unfortunately, once orders are submitted, they cannot be canceled or modified. If there is an issue with your order, please e-mail us immediately at help@scandalbeauty.com 

How can I check the status of my order?
Once an order has shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information in order to easily track your package. If you have not received a shipping confirmation email within a few days of placing your order, please check your “spam” folder.

PAYMENT:

What currency is my order charged in?
Our default currency is US Dollars. You can view prices in your local currency using the currency converter available on our site. These prices are a guide only and are subject to change based on conversion rates. At the checkout, your order will default to $USD, however you will only pay for the items in your local currency.

That means that despite the change in currency at checkout, the price or value of the items will not change. You only get charged in your local currency and this will also be reflected on your statement.

I am an international customer, do I have to pay customs & taxes?
International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges, as Customs and Import policies vary from country to country. We would advise that you find out what these charges may be before you place your order.

Can you mark my international order as a gift or lower the stated value to avoid customs fees?
No, unfortunately this is fraud, so as required by law all international shipments will show their full value on your shipment’s customs form. 

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, PayPal, ApplePay, Shop Pay, Amazon Pay, Google Pay and Zip.

What is Zip?
Zip is an installment payment platform that allows you to buy now, and pay later. This gives you the option to pay for your order in 4 interest-free installments over six weeks. Just choose Zip as your payment method at checkout. Instant approval, no hard credit checks, and no impact on your credit score—ever.

I’m having trouble with my credit card at checkout.
If you receive an error message related to credit card authorization failure, double check that the billing address on the credit card matches your account billing address, try re-entering your CVV or security code, and be sure that the card is current (not expired) and valid. If an error message is received after a second attempt, we recommend contacting your financial institution for further assistance.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?
If you are a business or retailer and are interested in carrying Scandal Beauty products in your store, please email us at info@scandalbeauty.com with a brief description of your business and proposal.

How do I apply a discount/ promo code?
Promo codes can be applied to your order at checkout. There is a space to enter the code just above the subtotal.

My promo code isn't working?
It is important to note that promo codes cannot be applied to sale items or used in conjunction with another promotion (only one promo code can be used on an order). A promo code may also be limited to a specific product, have an expiry date or have been assigned to a specific account only.

Can I use more than one promo code?
Unfortunately we can only allow one promo code per order.

Can I use promo codes on already discounted or sale items? 
Promos codes cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts or sales.

Where do you ship from?
We ship out all orders from Los Angeles, California.

When will my order ship out?
Processing time for orders is 1-3 business days (business days do not include weekends or holidays).  
Please note: these times may be extended during holidays, launches/restocks, limited edition releases, and promotions.

What shipping carrier do you use? 
We use USPS, UPS and DHL. At checkout you will be given the option to choose your preferred shipping method (where available). Some services may not always be an option however, as availability varies by destination.

How long does shipping take? 
Shipping time depends on your location, as well as the shipping service you choose (we offer Standard, Express and Next Day). The estimated time of delivery will be shown at checkout when selecting your shipping service.

Do you ship worldwide?
We ship to most places worldwide! Please see our shipping policy page to see if your country is on the list!

          How can I get free domestic shipping?
          Standard Shipping is FREE on all U.S. purchases of $60 and over (excluding taxes). 

          Do you ship to P.O. boxes?
          Yes we do :) Deliveries to PO Boxes ship by Standard method only and may take up to 8 business days.

          Can I change my shipping address?
          Scandal Beauty will begin to process your order immediately after it has been submitted, and unfortunately we are unable to change an order once it has been placed. If there is an issue with your order, please e-mail us immediately at help@scandalbeauty.com 

          Reminder: Please make sure that your shipping address is correctly entered and includes all relevant and/or required information. The use of correct abbreviations, street numbers, building or apartment numbers, and route information (if applicable) is critical for ensuring timely delivery. We do not take responsibility for lost, misplaced, or incorrectly delivered shipments if the address information provided incorrectly entered at the time of purchase. 

          How do I track my order?
          We will email you a shipment notification along with a tracking number as soon as your package ships. 

          Also, under 'My Account' you can find your order history with the status of each order. Please note that the Order History will not be updated until the product(s) have shipped.

          My tracking isn't working!
          Please allow 24 Hours for your tracking number to update once you receive your tracking number by email. If you are still having trouble, please contact us at help@scandalbeauty.com

          My tracking says delivered but my package isn’t here.
          We apologize if you have not received your item as indicated. If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered but you can't find it, the carrier may have placed it in a secure location out of view of the street. In rare cases, a package may show as 'delivered' but could take an additional 24 hours to get there. 

          Please check your account or email to confirm that you entered the correct address at checkout. We do not take responsibility for lost, misplaced, or incorrectly delivered shipments if the address information provided is incorrect or incorrectly entered at the time of purchase. 

          If after 48 hours you have still not received your package, and you purchased shipping protection at checkout, please contact us at help@scandalbeauty.com.

          If you did not purchase shipping protection please contact your local post office or the carrier directly to submit a service request or a claim, as we cannot provide a refund or replacement.

           

          PRODUCTS:

          What comes with my nail purchase?
          Every set comes complete with 30 multi-sized acrylic nails, a prep kit (a nail file, an alcohol pad, nail glue, adhesive tabs) and detailed instructions on how to apply your press-on nails. 

          How many nails and sizes come in each set?
          Each set comes with 30 multi-sized acrylic nails. Our nails come in sizes 0-14, (every set comes with 2 of each size). We are confident you will be able to find your perfect fit, but if you have any more questions regarding nail sizing please send us an email at help@scandalbeauty.com and we'll be happy to help.

          What are the nails made of?
          Our nails are made of a premium quality ABS acrylic material. They are extremely strong and durable, designed to look and feel like professional salon acrylic nails.  Our nails will not bend however the base of the nails do have a gentle flex to fit your natural nail shape, providing a more comfortable fit.

          What are the ingredients in the glue and adhesive tabs?
          Glue: Ethyl Cyanoacrylate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, BHA 
          Adhesive tabs: Acrylates Copolymer, Polyethylene Terephthalate 

          Should I use the adhesive tabs or the glue?
          The method you choose will depend on how long you want to wear your press-on nails. Adhesive tabs are great for photos or a night out, can last up to two days and are easier to remove. Our professional nail glue provides a much stronger hold, and when applied correctly your nails can last up to two weeks. See full application instructions here.

          How much glue should I use?
          We recommend using one drop for short wear and two to three for a longer wear. See our full application instructions here.

          A nail popped off, what should I do?
          Please carefully follow the application instructions when applying your press-on nails to ensure you’re prepping your natural nails correctly and applying enough glue for your desired wear time.  If you are still having troubles, adding a little more glue will almost always solve the problem! The longer and harder you press down on the nail during application, the better. Try pressing down firmly for 20-30 seconds, making sure you are applying pressure to the entire nail.  You want to avoid air pockets under the press-on nail as this can shorten wear time. You can also bring your nail glue with you in case of emergencies!

          How do I make my nails last longer?
          You can make your nails last longer by carefully following the application instructions. Also keep in mind that wear time varies depending on how rough you are on your hands. To extend the life of your nails, try to be gentle on them. Remember to not use your nails as tools- this means not using them to open packages!   

          We also recommend applying your press-on nails before bed to allow the glue a longer amount of time to fully adhere to your natural nails. If this isn't possible, avoid washing your hands or coming in contact with water for at least 2 hours to give the nails time to fully bond.  Be careful with moisturizers and cuticle oils as well, as oils will cause the glue to break down which will shorten wear time. If you'd like to use cuticle oil, we recommend doing this a day or 2 before applying your press on nails. 

          How do I remove the nails?
          Soak your nails in a bowl of warm soapy water for about 10 minutes. The warmer the better- as hot as you can tolerate comfortably will work best. (If you used the adhesive tabs, 5 minutes should be fine.) We recommend using an oil infused body wash, or adding a few drops of oil to your soapy water. The longer you've been wearing the nails the quicker they will come off. After 10 minutes of soaking, or once you can see the adhesive is beginning to loosen, you can start gently lifting the nail from the sides with the cuticle stick provided. The nails should lift off fairly easily, but if any are being stubborn, just add another drop of oil to where the nail is beginning to lift and continue to soak for a couple more minutes. After all your nails have come off and you've washed your hands you can check if there is any glue residue remaining on your natural nails.  If so, you can easily buff it off with a nail buffer.

          Are the nails reusable?
          They can be! This all depends on how you wear your nails and how rough you are on your hands- because just like salon acrylics, press-on nails can get damaged with wear over time.  Reusing your nails will be easier if you use the adhesive tabs, however if you follow our removal instructions here you may be able to reuse them even if they were originally applied with glue.  Dried and built-up glue can be difficult to remove so we recommend using an inexpensive electric nail file to gently buff away any built up glue on the back of the nails. This will make them much easier to re-apply.

          How long are your nails?
          The length of our nails range from 24.8mm (size 14) to 32.3mm (size 0), however they are completely customizable. If you prefer shorter nails we recommend using a professional nail trimmer to cut them to avoid damaging the press-on nail, you can find ours here.           Do the nails look natural?
          Our nails are designed to look and feel like professional salon acrylic nails. The base of the nails have a gentle flex to fit your natural nail shape, providing a seamless and comfortable fit. 

          Can I cut or file the nails?
          Yes, our press-on nails can be cut and filed to your preferred shape and/or length but we recommend you wait about an hour or 2 after initial application to give your press-on nails enough time to fully bond with your natural nails.           Can I paint over my press-on nails?
          Of course, we love to see your creations! Make sure to tag us on instagram at @scandal.beauty so we don't miss them. You can change up your nails as often as you like- just keep in mind that you can only use a non-acetone polish remover on your press-on nails.

          Are the press-on nails waterproof?
          Yes! While you should try to avoid soaking your nails in water for long periods of time, if you use our professional nail glue included in your set, and follow our prep and application instructions carefully, you should have no problems.  Showering, washing your hair, etc. is perfectly fine, but also be mindful that many bath and shower products may contain oils which can break down and loosen the adhesive. 

          What do I do with the leftover nails?
          You may be able to use some of them for another set. Try mixing and matching leftover nails with other styles to create your own custom set! You can also trade them with a friend who may wear different sizes than you.

          Will the press-on nails damage my natural nails?
          Press-on nails shouldn't damage your natural nails. Just be sure to carefully follow the application and removal instructions (which you can find here). With press-on nails most damage occurs when people are too rough during the removal process (please don't rip them off!). If you have any concerns we recommend watching our nail removal video here.           Can I use press-on nails on missing, damaged or ingrown nails?
          We don't recommend this. You should always ask your doctor for advice before using press on nails if you are missing a nail, if cuticles are inflamed, if nails are ingrown, damaged or in very poor condition or if you have fungal growth. 

          Can I buy Scandal Beauty products in stores?
          Currently the only place our products are available for purchase is our website scandalbeauty.com and for a limited time at shopglitterdeath.com

          When will you be restocking sold out products?
          Sign up for our newsletter to receive announcements about restocks and new products!

          When will you have new styles?
          We are always in the process of designing and adding new products and accessories to our shop! Stay updated by subscribing to our newsletter to be notified when new items are available.

          Is Scandal Beauty vegan + cruelty free?
          Of course! None of our products are tested on animals or contain any animal products.

          RETURNS + EXCHANGES:

          Do you offer returns?
          For health and safety reasons our products are non-refundable. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your package at help@scandalbeauty.com and we’ll be happy to assist you.

          Do you offer exchanges?
          We do not offer a return or exchange for a change of mind. We only replace items if they are defective or faulty. We have a very strict quality control process, however if we missed something please contact us at help@scandalbeauty.com within 72 hours of receiving your package. Please include your order number and a clear photo of the defective product so we can better assist you.

          I received the wrong item, what do I do?
          We are so sorry for the mix up! Please contact us within 7 days of delivery at help@scandalbeauty.com with your order number and we will make it right as soon as possible.

          My item arrived damaged, what do I do?
          Please contact us at help@scandalbeauty.com for assistance.

          My package was lost or stolen, can I get a refund?
          If you purchased shipping protection at checkout, please contact us at help@scandalbeauty.com.

          If you did not purchase shipping protection please contact your local post office or the carrier directly to submit a service request or a claim, as we cannot provide a refund or replacement.

          I purchased a product and now it's on sale, can I get a refund?
          Unfortunately, we are unable to refund the difference between the original price and the sale price.

          I refused my delivery, where is my refund?
          Refused delivery will incur a $10 restocking fee and outbound shipping will not be refunded. Once the package has been returned to us, please allow up to 5 business days for your refund to appear after we have processed the return.
          PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT REFUSED OR UNCLAIMED INTERNATIONAL ORDERS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

          Do I have to set up an account to place an order?
          Nope! You are welcome to place an order without having to create a user account. No sign-up or login is required to order.

          How do I create an account?
          Click on the “Log In” link in the upper right-hand corner of any page and then select “Register” to create an account. You can also create an account during your initial check-out or go to https://scandalbeauty.com/account/ 

          What are the benefits of having an account?
          By creating an account you will be able to keep record of all your purchases, billing, and order tracking information. You can also store multiple shipping addresses to expedite the check-out process. If you choose to receive emails (which we highly suggest!), you will also be the first to know about new products, promotions and exclusive giveaways.

          I forgot my password, what should I do?

          GIFT CARDS:

          Do you sell gift cards?
          We do! Our digital gift cards are available in increments ranging from $10 to $200.

          How do I purchase a gift card?
          To purchase a gift card, please add the item in the desired denomination to your shopping bag. Gift card codes will be emailed to the purchaser after the transaction is completed. You may choose to print or forward the gift card confirmation email to the recipient.

          Why haven't I received my gift card? 
          Gift cards should be received within minutes of purchase, but may take up to 24 hours. If you don’t receive it, check your spam folder or email us at help@scandalbeauty.com for assistance

          How do I redeem a gift card?
          You can redeem the value of a gift card by entering its unique code at checkout. This code isn't case sensitive. A gift card holds a balance, which can be spent over more than one order. Gift card balances are applied to the total value of an order, which can include taxes and shipping.

          When you redeem a gift card, the checkout will display one of the following options:
          If the balance available on the gift card is greater than or equal to the order total, then you can click Complete Order. Any unused balance will remain on the gift card which you may use toward your next purchase.

          If the balance available on the gift card is less than your order total, you will be prompted to choose a second payment method for the remaining amount to complete the order.

          Can a gift card be used more than once?
          Yes you can, provided there is still a balance remaining on the card.

          Can more than one gift card be used towards a purchase?
          Yes. You may redeem more than one gift card during checkout.

          Can a gift card be used to buy a gift card?
          No, you can't use a gift card to buy another gift card.

          Can I change the value of a Gift Card after I've paid for it?
          Not at this time.

          Can gift cards be used in conjunction with a discount code?

          Yes, gift cards are a form of payment.

          Can I return or cancel my gift card?
          Gift cards are final sale.

          How long do I have to use my gift card?
          There is no expiration date on your gift card.
